On Wednesday, students from Mrs. Hostetler class went to Rush Run Park in Worthington and cleaned the environment. They spent a little over an hour picking up trash from the recent rains. In the picture you can see the bags of trash and a few large items. They found an office chair blocking the water flow and a few boys carried it up to the dumpster--almost half a mile away. This was part of the Work Experience students have been training for the past three weeks. After break, They are going to get in the water and help Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District count macroinvertebrates. Science, work, and fun all rolled into one.
